Magandag moment ito!! (what a beautiful moment) This was seriously a dream fight. Yesterday, after our family picked out our christmas tree my sister said that her and my brother in law was going to order the fight, so I told her we were down to come and kick it. Well, after standing in a long line, and getting our order mixed up just for fricken egg rolls and chicken,(but so worth it) our whole family went to their house to set up for game time. My parents and my brother dropped off the tree and picked up the food that my mom had made...mmm crab legs ...wow! The fight looked great on that TV they have and we were so excited to watch Manny beat down on de la hoya they called him the mexicutioner..(horrible but funny) and we were cracking jokes like "i'm the mexicutioner and I'll be back" in our terminator voices haha..Okay, after the beer, food and everyone swearing in filipino screaming and jumping for an hour ..just on the 8th round Manny won by TKO I was shocked! De la hoya didn't put up much of a fight so Manny didn't have a scratch on him. But, DudeI was happy he won but I felt so sick at the same time because we didn't have the money this week to bet on it, if the fight wasn't till next week we would have been able to throw our cash down on betting...Nick and I were planning on putting our $650 on Pacquiao therefore winning over $1000 dollars and getting our $650 back too, but we decided to put that money towards Lailie's birthday....frick I am so sick ..xmas woulda been xtra nice this year...But hey, that's life and Lailie's birthday is more important than getting something nice for us, because material things come and go, but a memory like a birthday lasts a lifetime, she so deserves it!!...but maybe next time, although this was a once in a lifetime moment, the kind of game people only dream of, it came true, I am just thankful that I got to see it! And I just want to say that I am damn proud to know my heritage and can claim that I am a filipina. Unlike some people out there, I am filipna and still know my heritage and am deep in my roots. My parents both still speak tagalog and ilocano but have english as their first language. I EAT and COOK filipino food. I am surrounded by it and so are my children. I love the fact that Nick supports me in teaching our children our heritage, it's strong on my side of the family and Nick encourages it by using some words I use, eats the food my mom and I cook, and HE loves it. He also practices the traditons and superstitions (some) that we have. Thanks to the PACMAN, I have come to realize how lucky I am to know where I'm from and to still keep it alive in my home. Most of all, Manny gave God the glory when he said to the words.."Thank You LORD!" into that camera, and knealing down to pray and give thanks..What a great feeling ......Pacquiao was awesome and God had all the glory! My kind a day!
